Site visits - Houston
Three of Jee’s subsea pipeline engineering courses held in Houston now have the additional benefit of a site visit to FMC Technologies as part of the course package to see first hand functioning subsea equipment.
Please note: Delegates must wear steel toed shoes otherwise they will not be able to take part in the tour.
The courses the site visits apply to are: Subsea pipelines, Subsea systems and Risers, umbilicals and flexibles
As part of the visit, you will
- visit the Corporate headquarters and manufacturing, research and development facility and aftermarket support centre
- receive a full safety briefing
- take a 3D interactive subsea environment fly through
- tour FMC Technologies’ manufacturing facility
A typical plant tour will show you the main facility and look at subsea trees and manifold valves being manufactured plus you will see actual steel being machined, large blocks being welded, control systems being assembled, subsea controls modules being upgraded and initial and final assembly of full 50 tonnes subsea trees in the extensive High bay area. Please note, the details of the tour are subject to change in line with FMC Technologies’ current production.
