Course booking conditions

Completing the booking process constitutes a legally binding contract. Cancellations must be made in writing. Jee reserve the right to refuse admission if the payment of course fees has not been received prior to the event starting. Jee will hold your data on computer under the terms of the Data Protection Act. We reserve the right to make changes, if necessary. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the course, we will refund you the course fee in full, but will disclaim any further liability.

Payment

• Bookings made before the early bird booking deadline;
Payment is due immediately by credit/debit card, BACS, or cheque and an early bird discount of £200 or US$400 is applicable (prices shown on website include this). Please see your invoice for details. Should payment not be received immediately and there are less than 3 weeks before the course start date then Jee can only accept payment by credit/debit card.

• Bookings made after the early bird booking deadline; (less than 8 weeks before a course start date);
Payment is due immediately and can only be made by credit/debit card, and the full price of the course will be payable. 

Credit card sales

Please do not send your credit card details via e-mail as this is not secure. Credit card details are processed by a secure encrypted third party processor (SECPay), guaranteeing security and convenience. Customers must provide a daytime telephone number. We log all originating information on online orders. Unfortunately we can not accept Electron cards. We reserve the right to decline orders as necessary due to credit card fraud.

Cancellation and transfers

Cancellation and transfer requests must be received in writing.

• Cancellations and transfers made up to 3 weeks before the course start date will incur a £200 / $400 administration charge. A refund of the balance will be made if not transferring
• If you wish to transfer less than 3 weeks before the course start date a transfer fee of £400 / $800 is payable (£200 / $400 for a 1 day course)
• If a “Client” (delegate) has already transferred once and then chooses to cancel the new course booking, they will be liable for the full course cost.
• If a cancellation is made less than 3 weeks before a course start date, the full course cost remains payable.

Please note that Jee retains the services of the ‘Credit Protection Agency’ who will pursue the payment of all overdue debt. Jee reserves the right to charge all fees and commission relating to the pursuit of overdue debt to the “Client” (delegate and/or company).

Substitutions

There is no charge to substitute another person to attend the course.

Privacy policy

Personal details are collected during the ordering process and when entering personal details on the ’Profile’ webpage. Any information given during the ordering process is held by Jee for marketing purposes and processing your order only. These details will only be used for this and not be passed to any third parties. We may occasionally send out mailings relating to our products. You will not receive any mailings from us unless you have authorised us to do so, by making a selection on the check box when entering your customer details within the order process or on the ’Profile’ webpage. Jee does not hold or have access to your credit card details. Credit card details are held by SECPay for billing purposes relating to your order only. Intellectual Property Rights

• Jee takes infringement of its intellectual property rights seriously.
• “Intellectual Property Rights” means all patents, rights in inventions, rights in designs, trade marks, trade and business names and all associated goodwill, rights to sue for passing off, copyright, moral rights and related rights, rights in databases, topography rights, domain names, rights in information (including know how and trade secrets) and all other similar or equivalent rights subsisting now or in the future in any part of the world, in each case whether registered or unregistered and including all applications for, and renewals or extensions of, such rights for their full term.
• “Materials” means educational materials supplied by Jee to the Client or otherwise procured by the Client from Jee directly or indirectly or by its servants or agents whether in electronic or physical form and as such materials may be amended from time to time.
• “Purposes” means for the purposes of conducting the courses offered by Jee from time to time.
• Intellectual Property Rights in the Materials shall vest in Jee and remain the exclusive property of Jee.
  Physical copies of the Materials and/or the media upon which the Materials are recorded howsoever made shall be and remain the property of Jee.
• Video and audio recording of the course presentations is prohibited.
• The Client, its agents and consultants shall not:
  a. make copies (whether in machine readable or human readable form) of the Materials, unless authorised in writing by Jee.
  b. reverse engineer, decompile, copy or adapt the whole or any part of the Materials other than for the Purposes.
  c. assign, transfer, sell, lease, rent, charge or otherwise deal in or encumber the Materials or use the Materials on behalf of any third party or make the Materials available to any third party, other than for the Purposes.
  d. remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notice applied to the Materials or part thereof.
  e. remove or obfuscate any of Jee’s trade marks or trade names on any of the Materials.
• The Client, its agents and consultants shall:
  a. limit access to the Materials to those of its employees, agents and subcontractors who have participated in the relevant course conducted by Jee.
  b. notify Jee immediately if the Client becomes aware of any unauthorised use of the whole or any part of the Materials by any third party.
  c. without prejudice to the foregoing take all such other steps as shall from time to time be necessary to protect the confidential information and Intellectual Property Rights of Jee in the Materials.
• The Client shall inform all relevant employees, agents and sub contractors that the Materials, the media upon which the physical copies are recorded are the property of Jee. The Client shall take all such steps as shall be reasonable or necessary to ensure compliance by its employees, agents and subcontractors with the provisions under this heading “Intellectual Property Rights”.
• The foregoing describes the extent of the rights of the Client in respect to the use of the Materials. The Client shall pay Jee a reasonable licence fee, having regard the practice of Jee to provide copies of the Materials only to attendees of its courses which are for attendees’ benefit alone, for any and all unauthorised reproductions of the Materials upon demand at the prevailing rate of the courses offered to participants at the time of the production of unauthorised copies.

• This agreement shall be governed by English law. The parties hereby irrevocably agree that English Courts shall have the jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of this agreement, in addition to the higher Courts of any jurisdiction within which any breach of these terms may take place.

• None of the above terms and conditions affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
• Jee reserve the right to change tutors without notice.
• Liability for errors in the course materials is limited to their correction without charge.
• Any terms intended to have contractual effect incorporated on purchase orders sent to Jee will be disregarded and not form part of this agreement.

Promotions

Promotional offers for online courses booked by 30 April 2012
Book an online course by 30 April 2012 and receive Sennheiser headphones.

An online course has to be booked and paid for by 30 April 2012 to qualify for Sennheiser headphones. This promotion is not available on existing bookings or transfers. The headphones will be sent out with the course notes after payment is received and access to the course is granted (login details are provided). They will be sent to the same address as the course notes. There is no alternative available for headphones. This offer is only available for online courses and is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers, including multi-booking discounts. All standard booking terms and conditions apply. The headphones supplied will be Sennheiser PXC 250-II headphones with NoiseGard™. Jee reserves the right to amend the make and model supplied without prior notice. Jee reserves the right to stop this promotion at any time. Delegates eligible for the Sennheiser headphones offer need to check with their company’s policy on accepting the item. Jee accepts no liability for delegates not complying with their company policies.
Promotional offers for public courses held between 26 January 2012 and 30 April 2012

For new public course bookings taken from 26 January 2012 - Book and attend a public course before 30 April 2012 and receive an iPad 2.

This promotion is available when booking and attending a public course between 26 January 2012 and 30 April 2012. This promotion is not available on existing bookings or transfers. If a booking is cancelled or the delegate transfers to another course after 30 April 2012, they do not receive the iPad 2. Jee aims to give delegates the iPad 2 on the first day of the course. If bookings are made less than 4 weeks before the course start date, Jee cannot guarantee the delegate will receive the iPad 2 at the course and Jee reserves the right to send this to the delegate’s office address after the course is completed. In this case, postage, all import duties and taxes will be bourne by the attending delegate. If a delegate substitutes themselves for another person, the person attending the course will be given the iPad 2. There is only one iPad 2 per course place and the offer is limited to one per customer while stocks last. There is no alternative available for the iPad 2. The iPad 2 supplied will be WiFi enabled only (not 3G). This offer is only available for public courses and is not available in conjunction with any other discounts or offers, including multi-booking discounts. For existing public course bookings received before 26 January 2012 for a course to be attended between 31 January 2012 and 30 April 2012 – book another public course in 2012 before 30 April 2012 and receive an iPad2.

This promotion is only available to delegates who booked on a public course scheduled between 31 January 2012 - 30 April 2012 and booked before 26 January 2012. This promotion is not available on existing bookings which have been transferred to a course running between 31 Jan 2012 and 30 April 2012. If a booking is cancelled or the delegate transfers onto a course held after 31 December 2012, they do not receive the iPad 2. Jee aims to give delegates the iPad 2 on the first day of the course. If bookings are made less than 4 weeks before the course start date, Jee cannot guarantee the delegate will receive the iPad 2 at the course and Jee reserves the right to send this to the delegate’s office address after the course is completed.
