Course structure and duration
Q. How is the course structured?
A. The content of each course is modular and you progress through each module over a 12 week period. Each module consists of a presentation, with a selection of animations, videos and quizzes. There will also be a discussion forum for each module.
Please note: We will try to ensure modules are available at the rate required. However, in rare cases due to unforeseen circumstances the release of some modules may be delayed. Please accept our apologies in advance for any inconvenience caused.
Q. How long will my access to the course last?
A. Access to the course is for 12 weeks from the start date of the course.
Q. How long should I spend on the course?
A. You should allow 30-40 hours learning time over the 12 week access period. This is around 3 hours per week.
Delegate supportQ. I have a technical question about the course, what do I do?A. You should ask the course tutor via the online forum. A specialist subsea engineering tutor will logon daily (during the working week) to answer any technical questions you have.
Q. I have a question about my course registration, what do I do?A. You will have regular communication with our Course Moderator who will check that you are on-track to complete the course and to answer any general questions you may have. These should be posted via the online forum.
Q. Can I interact with other delegates?A. Online discussion forums are set up for each module so you can ask opinions and share experiences with fellow delegates from around the world
Course information
Q. Are there entry requirements for the course?A. There are no entry requirements for our courses, however for some Practitioner level courses we recommend attendance of the Part 1 course before attending the relevant Part 2 course. You can register for any course as an individual or through your company.
Q. How will I access the online course?A. Prior to the course start date you will be emailed your unique login and password to enter Jee’s training website. We will email the address given on the application form so please ensure this is current and you have access to it.
Q. What language is the course run in?A. All material is in English language only. Jee staff are also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish.
Computer requirementsQ. What are the minimum PC specifications and requirements to access the course? The computer needs to be internet enabled with an Internet Browser (Firefox version 3.6 or above, Internet Explorer Version 7 or above), have Java, Flash and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed (free download available
here) and have the ability to open Word and PowerPoint documents. Jee Moodle will operate with Windows XP, Vista and Apple Mac OSX.
We also recommend corporate delegates to check with their IT departments for functionality issues before registering on the course.
Computer minimum specifications: Windows - Intel Pentium 4 2.33GHz Processor (Or equivalent), 128MB of RAM, 64MB of VRAM. Mac OSX - PowerPC G5 1.8GHz or Faster Processor or Intel Core Duo, 1.33GHz or Faster Processor, 256MB of RAM, 64MB of VRAM.
