Course levels

There are two levels of course. Foundation level has the aim of imparting information. Practitioner level has the aim of imparting skills and additional information.

Foundation level

Foundation level courses are designed to impart breadth and depth of information. Each topic is addressed with purely informative content, in plain language, to give a solid understanding of the processes involved and how they fit together. Available courses are:

Practitioner level

Practitioner level courses are designed to impart skills and information. Each topic is comprehensively addressed using worked examples, exercises and group discussions. Practitioner level courses give a deeper knowledge and understanding of the engineering principles involved.  Available courses are:

• Design of subsea pipelines
• Advanced design including HP/HT and deepwater pipelines
  
• Construction of subsea pipelines
• Installation calculations for subsea pipelines
• Integrity management of subsea pipelines
• Failure of deepwater pipelines and risers - A masterclass in risk mitigation
